Finance Astrology

Finance Astrology reads the second, eleventh and sixth houses and the running dasha for what they indicate about income, savings and obligations. It is an astrological reading, not financial advice, and it names no specific investment or amount.

How it works

From your details to the answer

1

Share your birth details

Date, exact time of birth and place — the time to the minute is what makes the chart usable.

2

The chart is cast and read

Your Janma Kundali, divisional charts, running dasha and current gochara are read together.

3

You receive the analysis

A written answer to the question you asked, with the placements it rests on stated plainly.

4

Talk it through

A call with the astrologer to go over the reading and the remedies, if you want one.

Guide

When is Finance Astrology useful?

It is asked for when planning a significant commitment, during a difficult period, or as part of a general chart reading.

Astrologers differ on method — ayanamsa, dasha system and house division are all matters on which respected traditions disagree. A reading states which conventions it follows, and describes tendency and timing rather than settling a decision for you.

What the astrologer reads for Finance Astrology

The second bhava
The dhana bhava is read for accumulated wealth and for what is held rather than earned — savings, assets and family resources.
The eleventh bhava
The labha bhava is read for income and gains: what comes in, as distinct from what has been accumulated. The two are separated deliberately, because a chart can be strong in one and weak in the other.
The sixth bhava
The sixth is read for debt and recurring obligation, which is why it belongs in a financial reading and not only in a health one.
Jupiter, and the Hora (D-2)
Jupiter is the karaka of wealth. The second division, the Hora, is the varga classical texts assign to wealth specifically.

The second for what is accumulated, the eleventh for what comes in, the sixth for what is owed. A chart can be strong in one and weak in another.

What is established, and what varies

The first list is what published practice describes consistently. The second is where schools, regions and sampradayams legitimately differ — and where the astrologer’s own tradition decides the answer rather than a general rule.

Consistently described

  • The second bhava is the dhana or wealth house and the eleventh the labha or gains house; they are read for different things and are not interchangeable.
  • The sixth bhava is read for debt, and Jupiter is the karaka of wealth, in standard classical practice.
  • The Hora (D-2) is the divisional chart assigned to wealth in the shodasavarga scheme.

Varies by tradition

  • Whether the eighth house is read for inherited or unearned money. It is common practice but is treated with more caution in some schools than others.
  • How much weight is given to named dhana yogas. The classical lists are long and practitioners differ sharply on which are significant.
  • Whether financial timing is read primarily from the dasha or from the transits of Jupiter and Saturn.

In plain terms

The vocabulary of a finance reading

Finance Astrology reads the second bhava for wealth held, the eleventh for gains that come in, and the sixth for debt and obligation, with Jupiter as karaka and the Hora chart opened where the question warrants it. It reads tendency and timing — which periods support accumulation and which counsel caution. It is an astrological reading and not financial advice: it names no investment, no instrument and no amount, and a reading that does is no longer astrology.

The second bhava
The dhana bhava — wealth held, savings, what is retained. Distinct from the eleventh: a chart can gain freely and keep little, or the reverse.
The eleventh bhava
The labha bhava — gains, income that arrives, what comes in. Read separately from the second because accumulation and inflow are different questions with different houses.
The sixth bhava
Debt, obligation, what is owed. A finance reading opens it deliberately, because a question about money is as often a question about what goes out as about what comes in.
Jupiter, the karaka
The significator of wealth in standard practice. Its dignity — and its relationship to the second and eleventh lords — qualifies whatever the houses indicate.
The Hora (D-2)
The second divisional chart, assigned to wealth. Opened where the question warrants it; it sorts each graha into a solar or lunar half and is read for the strength of the second lord.
The period running
The dasha and bhukti, read for whether the current period is one classical practice associates with accumulation, expenditure or obligation — and when it changes.

When money is the symptom, not the question

Money questions usually turn out to be about something else — work, property, a venture, a household. Each of those has its own reading, and the finance reading is thinner than the one built for the real question.

The income comes from work

If the question is really about the job, the career reading opens the tenth and the sixth with the Dasamsa, and reads the second as the return on the work.

Career Astrology

The money is in a business

Ownership, partnership and trade are the seventh and the tenth with Mercury — a business reading, from the founder's chart.

Business Astrology

The money is in property

A purchase, a sale or a dispute is the fourth bhava, its lord, Mars and the Chaturthamsa. A finance reading touches it; a property reading opens it.

Property Astrology

A period that needs explaining

You want to know when the current stretch ends and what the next one indicates. That is the dasha reading, on its own.

Dasha Analysis

Saturn is transiting

A stretch of expenditure that coincides with sade sati or a Saturn transit is a transit question first.

Transit Analysis

A household matter

The money is the family's — inheritance, a shared house, an obligation between relatives. The second and fourth read as a family question rather than a personal one.

Family Astrology

Three houses, three questions

What each house is read for

What it is read forWhat it does not tell you
The second bhavaWealth held and retained — savings, assets, what stays.Any figure. The chart carries no amounts.
The eleventh bhavaGains and inflow — what arrives, and from what direction the chart indicates it arrives.Which instrument, fund or venture. Naming one is not astrology.
The sixth bhavaDebt and obligation — whether the chart carries a tendency to owe, and which periods bring it forward.Whether a particular loan is wise. That is a financial question.
JupiterThe dignity of the karaka, qualifying all three houses.Whether you will be wealthy. Every chart has some of each house.
The HoraThe strength of the second lord in the wealth varga.Anything about the next quarter's markets.

The reason a finance reading opens three houses and not one is that money is three different questions. Most people arrive asking about the second when what they mean is the eleventh, or the sixth.

Questions worth asking about money

A finance reading is where an astrologer is most tempted to give advice they are not qualified to give. These keep the reading on the chart and off your portfolio.

  1. Which of the three — second, eleventh, sixth — is the strongest in this chart, and which is the weakest?
  2. What does the second lord's own placement say about what is retained?
  3. What direction does the eleventh indicate gains come from — and how much of that is doctrine versus reading?
  4. Does this chart carry a tendency to obligation, and in which periods does it come forward?
  5. What is Jupiter's dignity here, and does it strengthen or weaken the three houses?
  6. Did you open the Hora, and what did it add?
  7. Which bhukti am I in, and is it one associated with accumulation or expenditure?
  8. What about my finances is not in this chart and needs a different kind of adviser?

Suitability

Who this reading is for

  • A stretch of expenditure has gone on longer than expected and you want the period explained.
  • You want to know whether the chart inclines to retaining or to spending, before you plan around it.
  • You are in debt and want the timing of the period read, not a promise about it.
  • An inflow has arrived and you want to know whether the chart supports keeping it.
  • You want the second, eleventh and sixth read separately rather than as one word, money.
  • You have been told a remedy will bring wealth and want to know what the chart actually says first.
  • You would rather hear which periods counsel caution than which investment to make.

This is not financial advice, and no part of it should be acted on as if it were. A chart carries no figures, names no instruments and cannot say whether a loan, an investment or a purchase is sound. It indicates tendency and timing, and an astrologer who goes further has left the method. Where money is involved, take the reading to a qualified adviser as one input among several, not as a decision.

Before you book

What to have ready

  • Date of birth, time of birth as precisely as you know it, and place of birth.
  • Say so if the birth time is uncertain — it can be narrowed by rectification rather than guessed.
  • The specific question you want answered, which focuses the reading far more than a general request.
  • For a property or premises, the floor plan and the direction the main entrance faces.

Do not act on a reading alone where a decision also needs professional advice — medical, legal or financial. A consultation is one input, and it is offered as one.

Common questions

Before you book

Will this tell me what to invest in?

No. It is a traditional reading and not financial advice, and it names no instrument, no amount and no market. Anyone offering investment picks from a birth chart is selling something the method does not support. Decisions about money need a qualified financial adviser.

Can a chart say whether I will be wealthy?

It can say what the second and eleventh houses and their lords indicate, and which dasha periods classical practice associates with gain. It cannot state an amount, and the further out a reading goes the less specific it can honestly be.

I am in debt. What does the reading actually offer?

It reads the sixth house and the running dasha for what they indicate about the period, which some people find useful for pacing decisions. It is not a debt-management plan and should not delay getting one.

What if I do not know my exact birth time?

Say so rather than estimating. The lagna moves through a full sign in roughly two hours and every divisional chart is computed from the same degrees, so a guessed time propagates an error through the whole reading. Where the time is genuinely unknown the standard approach is rectification — narrowing it by testing candidate lagnas against events that have already happened.

Which languages is the reading available in?

Telugu, Hindi and English. Ask for the one you want when you book.
