Tarabalam · తారాబలం
Tarabalam for each Kanya nakshatra
The Moon is in Krittika at sunrise. Counted from your own birth star, that gives the tara below. Sampat, Kshema, Sadhana, Mitra and Parama Mitra are the favourable taras; Janma, Vipat, Pratyak and Naidhana are read as days to go gently.
About Kanya · కన్య రాశి గురించి
Kanya rasi, its lord Budha and its nakshatras
Kanya (కన్య, Virgo) is ruled by Budha (బుధుడు) and covers Uttara 2–4, Hasta, Chitta 1–2. If your birth Moon fell in any of those padas, this is your rasi — whichever Sun sign you were told.
A dual earth sign. The classical attribution is discrimination and attention to detail. Kanya is also the sign of Budha's exaltation, which is the one place the zodiac's most changeable graha is read at its strongest.
Budha rules Kanya and is exalted in it. Budha owns Mithuna as well, so the two signs share a lord; what distinguishes a Kanya reading is that the lord's own exaltation degree falls here, which raises the weight given to his placement.
- Sade Sati runs for Kanya while Shani transits Simha, Kanya and Tula — the 12th, 1st and 2nd from the rasi.
- Ardhashtama and Ashtama Shani are Shani in Dhanussu and Mesha — the 4th and 8th from Kanya.
- Guru is read as supportive while transiting Tula, Makara, Meena, Vrishabha or Karkataka — the 2nd, 5th, 7th, 9th and 11th from Kanya.
