🎁 For Satyanarayana Swamy Pooja
The full Satyanarayan puja samagri list in one box — for the Purnima vratam, a housewarming, a wedding anniversary or a thanksgiving pooja at home. The Satyanarayana Swamy vratam has more particular items than most household poojas: the banana-stem mandapam, the rava prasadam, tulasi, and the katha itself. Each is annotated below.

About this kit
Satyanarayana Swamy Pooja is the vratam Telugu families perform on Purnima, on entering a new house, after a wedding, and in thanksgiving for anything that has gone well. Its samagri is distinctive in three ways. The deity sits under a small mandapam of four banana stems tied at the corners of the peetham. The prasadam is the sapatha — rava, sugar, ghee, milk and banana in the traditional proportion, with cardamom and cashew. And the pooja is not complete without the katha, the five chapters read aloud after the archana.
The kit carries the dry items, the panchamrutham ingredients and the katha booklet, and supplies the banana stems and leaves, the tulasi and the tamboolam fresh against your date. The prasadam is cooked at home on the morning of the pooja; the rava, sugar and ghee in the kit are measured for one standard sapatha.

The archana set for the shodashopachara and the Satyanarayana Ashtottara — kumkuma, pasupu, gandham, akshintalu and poolu.

Tulasi is Vishnu's own leaf and Satyanarayana is Vishnu: offered in the archana and dropped into the panchamrutham and the prasadam. Supplied fresh.
Item 3
Four arati stems tied to the corners of the peetham and a canopy of leaves over them make the mandapam the deity sits under; leaves also serve the naivedyam.

The sapatha (Satyanarayana prasadam): rava roasted in ghee, cooked with milk and sugar, with banana, cardamom and cashew. Measured for one pooja.
Item 5
The dry part of the five-nectar mixture — sugar, honey and cardamom — to which milk, curd and ghee from the house are added for the abhishekam of the saligrama or image.
Item 6
Agarbatti for the dhoopam, vathulu for the lamps kept burning through the katha, and karpuram for the mangala harathi.
Item 7
The five chapters of the vratam katha in Telugu with the pooja vidhanam, read by the purohit or the family after the archana.
Samagri requirements vary with regional tradition, family custom and the performing priest. This list is what the kit is normally assembled with — confirm the final contents with your purohit before dispatch. Fresh items are supplied against your ceremony date.
Through the ceremony
The peetham is set with rice, the four banana stems are tied at its corners with a leaf canopy, and the kalasam with the Satyanarayana image or saligrama is placed at its centre.
The family states the sankalpam; Ganapathi, the Navagrahas and the Ashta Dikpalakas are worshipped briefly with turmeric, akshata and flowers before the main deity.
Milk, curd, ghee, honey and sugar water are poured over the saligrama or image in turn, with tulasi, and the deity is dressed and marked with sandal paste and kumkum.
The sixteen services and the Satyanarayana Ashtottara archana, with tulasi, flowers and akshata offered at each name.
The five chapters are read from the booklet, the family listening with akshata in hand and offering it at the end of each chapter.
The sapatha prasadam, fruit and the panchamrutham are offered; camphor harathi and mantra pushpam close the vratam, and the prasadam is shared with everyone present.
