Tarabalam · తారాబలం
Tarabalam for each Kumbha nakshatra
The Moon is in Rohini at sunrise. Counted from your own birth star, that gives the tara below. Sampat, Kshema, Sadhana, Mitra and Parama Mitra are the favourable taras; Janma, Vipat, Pratyak and Naidhana are read as days to go gently.
About Kumbha · కుంభ రాశి గురించి
Kumbha rasi, its lord Shani and its nakshatras
Kumbha (కుంభం, Aquarius) is ruled by Shani (శని) and covers Dhanishta 3–4, Satabhisham, Purvabhadra 1–3. If your birth Moon fell in any of those padas, this is your rasi — whichever Sun sign you were told.
A fixed air sign, and the second of Shani's two signs. Classical descriptions distinguish it from Makara by treating it as the more detached of the pair — concerned with the general rather than the particular.
Shani rules Kumbha and owns Makara alongside it. Rahu is given co-lordship in some traditions. Because both of Shani's signs share a lord, a Shani transit or dasha is read against both, and the difference between them comes from the sign's quality rather than the lord's condition.
- Sade Sati runs for Kumbha while Shani transits Makara, Kumbha and Meena — the 12th, 1st and 2nd from the rasi.
- Ardhashtama and Ashtama Shani are Shani in Vrishabha and Kanya — the 4th and 8th from Kumbha.
- Guru is read as supportive while transiting Meena, Mithuna, Simha, Tula or Dhanussu — the 2nd, 5th, 7th, 9th and 11th from Kumbha.
